Dust Collection Filters

Dust Filters — Custom Filtration Solutions (CFS)

CFS manufactures OEM and replacement baghouse filter bags, pleated bags, and dust cartridges for most common dust collectors used in industry. Our applications team can help you select the right media and construction for your baghouse or cartridge collector.

Typical lead time: Most orders made from in-stock media ship within 5–7 days.

Baghouse Filter Bags

CFS dust bags are produced in a wide range of media and constructions to fit pulse-jet, shaker, and reverse-air collectors. Specialized finishes and options are available to match your application.

Available Media

Media Typical Use Notes / Options
Polyester General purpose, wide chemical compatibility Multiple finishes and weights
Polypropylene Corrosion-resistant fumes and moisture Good for low-temperature applications
Acrylic Moist, acidic gas streams Can be PTFE membrane laminated
PPS High-temperature, acid/alkali resistance Excellent thermal stability
Aramid (Nomex®) Elevated temperatures, abrasion resistance Common in asphalt and minerals
Polyimide (P84) High-temp fine dust control Good fine particle efficiency
PTFE (Teflon®) Extreme chemistries and temperatures Maximum chemical resistance

Finishes & Treatments

  • PTFE membrane (laminated) for high efficiency and easy dust release
  • Glazed / singed surface treatments
  • Fire-retardant treatments
  • Oil-, water-, and chemical-repellent finishes
  • Microfiber, duo denier, and other specialty constructions

Bag Styles & Options

Collector Type Typical Bag Style Notes
Pulse-Jet Snap band, top load, bottom load OEM-quality fit; venturi and cage options
Shaker Tubular or envelope Heavy-duty construction for mechanical cleaning
Reverse-Air Tubular Reinforced tops and bottoms available
  • Grounding options available (e.g., stainless ground wire)
  • Custom sizes, cuffs, and hardware to match OEM housings
  • Handles, wear pads, and reinforcement options upon request

CFS-PLEAT Pleated Filter Bags

CFS-PLEAT pleated filter bags are designed to replace traditional felt bags in many common baghouse dust collectors (both horizontal and vertical mount). Pleated designs increase filtration area, reduce operating pressure drop, and can deliver longer life than equivalent felt bags.

Key Features

  • Polyester or other media with durable spun-bond construction
  • High collection efficiency with excellent dust release properties
  • Configurable pleat counts and filter lengths
  • Spiral helix cores for strength and durability
  • Top load and bottom load designs
  • Optional core materials: polypropylene, stainless steel, or powder-coated metals

Why Choose Pleated Bags?

  1. More filtration area in the same space, enabling lower air-to-cloth ratios
  2. Lower operating pressure drop and energy use
  3. Improved pulse cleaning and dust release due to smooth media
  4. Drop-in replacements for many OEM baghouse designs

Dust Cartridges

CFS manufactures cartridge filters that meet or exceed OEM requirements and industry standards, including round and oval styles. Common replacement fitments include Donaldson® Torit®, Camfil Farr®, American Air Filter®, Dust Hog®, and more.

Media & Performance

Media Type Description Typical MERV Options
80/20 Spun-bonded Polyester Durable, washable, good dust release 11–16 (application dependent) Standard workhorse for many applications
Nanofiber-coated Polyester Fine fiber layer for high efficiency and low pressure drop Higher end of MERV 11–16 With or without flame-retardant treatment
Other Specialty Media Cellulose blends, PTFE membrane laminates, anti-static, etc. Varies Contact CFS for application-specific builds

End Caps, Flanges, and Cores

  • Wide variety of end caps and flange types, including oval cartridges
  • Outer mesh liners or bands available
  • Gaskets and hardware to match OEM housings
